A little poem to get us going

I walk in silence. There is a shadow at my side. The loneliness ahead is my comfort and my guide. I have walked with kings and gods, yet I have remained mortal. I have vanquished demons and aliens, yet I remain weak. By the book I carry, none is justified. By the word I bear, mountains fall and the universe trembles. My path is strewn with the bodies of my comrades and foes. I stood on the mountain, traveled the stars, and sat in silence. A pure, undisturbed silence that descends into the foundation of all that is and will be. The enigma of my existence has been the proof of my worth. All those that loved me fear me, and all those that hated me breath no longer. The time will come when all will be right. A time when my sword will drop, the book I hold will be open, and the silence will be forgotten. The stars will fall in flames and Sanctuary will be but a crevice. All the world will tremble at the "twilight of the gods" when all who fight will come and be judged. There will be one with the book, and he will bring a righteousness to all who suffer and want. His declaration is here, and the silence declares his coming as the calm before the storm. I wait. I watch. I embrace... silence.
